Q1: Who is eligible for a consumption tax refund?
A: Foreign companies or individual buyers who purchase goods in Japan including tax and ship them overseas can apply for a consumption tax (10%) refund.
Q2: Can I claim a refund even if I bought from a regular (non-duty-free) store?
A: Yes. If you paid the 10% consumption tax and have proof of purchase and overseas shipment, you may be eligible.
Q3: Is there an upfront fee?
A: No upfront fee. We charge only a success-based fee after your refund is approved.
Q4: How will I receive the refund?
A: Refunds are sent via international bank transfer to the account you specify.
Q5: Is it okay if I don’t speak Japanese?
